Afghan-Edinburgh Collaboration is a Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation (SCIO) and a registered Scottish charity (Charity No. SC055076↗).
We are a community-based charity working primarily with the Afghan community in Edinburgh and surrounding areas. Our work is rooted in community, culture, inclusion, and participation, and we aim to support individuals, families, and children to build strong connections, access opportunities, and participate fully in life in Scotland.
Many members of our community are new Scots who have recently made Scotland their home. They bring valuable skills, experience, and cultural heritage. We work to help people settle, integrate, and thrive while also contributing positively to wider Scottish society.
Our work also benefits the wider public by promoting understanding, inclusion, and positive relationships between communities across Edinburgh.
What We Do
We deliver community-led activities that support our charitable purposes, including:
- Community support and integration activities
- Education and cultural heritage programmes
- Volunteering and skills development opportunities
- Sports and wellbeing activities
- Community events and celebrations
Each of these contributes to our charitable purposes and delivers clear public benefit through participation, learning, wellbeing, and inclusion.
